Myles Lewis-Skelly has sent a clear message to Arsenal academy star Michal Rosiak's exit announcement after he and the club failed to agree on a new contract.

Alongside multiple new signings, wholesale departures have been confirmed with many of those coming at the start of June.

Just one week on from the end of their 2024/25 campaign, the Gunners released a club statementthat confirmed 18 players would be departing the club at the end of their contracts. Experienced midfielder Jorginho and Nathan Butler-Oyedeji, who featured in numerous first-team squads, were among those moving on.

In a section below that, it stated "discussions" were "ongoing" for Rosiak with it now appearing as though there has been a conclusion to those talks.

"After a long and memorable journey, it’s time for me to step away from Arsenal," he wrote to Instagramon Tuesday afternoon. "I’m incredibly grateful for the memories, friendships, support from staff members and fans during my time at the club.

"Becoming apart of this community has helped shaped and grow me into the person I have become today.

"Arsenal will always have a special place in my heart. Thanks to everyone who made this experience special, I wish success to Arsenal and everyone else at the club.

"MR [red heart emoji]."

The comments were filled with heartfelt messages from several young Arsenal players and Lewis-Skelly was one of those as he simply replied with two red heart emojis.

Ayden Heaven, who joined Manchester United from Arsenal in the January transfer window, wrote: "Top [red heart emoji]".

Considering the reaction to his exit and Arsenal's attempts to agree fresh terms, it is clear that a team will be acquiring the services of an exciting young player.

Andrea Berta and Arteta have had luck with other contract extensions in recent weeks however, with Lewis-Skelly seeing his extension confirmed earlier this month. Fellow breakout star Ethan Nwaneri also now looks set to sign a new deal.

According to David Ornstein of The Athletic, Arsenal are in the final stages of talks over a contract extension for Nwaneri. His report added that the 18-year-old was always prioritising staying at his boyhood club despite significant talk of interest from elsewhere.
