IndusInd Bank on Monday appointed Viral Damania as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Key Managerial Personnel with effect from September 22, 2025.
Following this, Santosh Kumar will step down from his additional responsibilities as Special Officer–Finance & Accounts and from his categorization as Key Managerial Personnel. He will, however, continue to serve as Deputy CFO.
IndusInd Bank's shares were trading at Rs 734.60 apiece on the BSE, down 1.17% on Monday as of 3.00 PM.
According to the bank’s disclosure to the stock exchanges, Damania is a qualified Chartered Accountant, Company Secretary, and Cost & Works Accountant, and also holds an ISACA certification in Information Systems Audit and Control.
He has more than 27 years of professional experience across banking and professional services. Most recently, he was CFO for Bank of America India, overseeing the bank branch entity and BofA Securities India Ltd.
He was also part of the country leadership team and served as a non-executive director on the board of BofA Securities India Ltd. Prior to this, he worked with Citibank N.A. across India, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka, and with Price Waterhouse Coopers.
The bank confirmed that there is no inter se relationship between Damania and any of its directors.
