The Sub-Regional Transport Office (RTO) in Pen will conduct an e-auction of 60 seized vehicles on May 27, at 12 PM, under the provisions of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988, and the Mumbai Motor Vehicle Tax Rules, 1958. The auction is being carried out using powers granted under the Maharashtra Land Revenue Code, 1966.
To participate in the auction, interested bidders must submit a non-refundable registration fee of Rs 34,000 and a refundable deposit of Rs 4,94,000 through a Demand Draft in favor of “Dy RTO PEN”. The payment must be made at the Sub-Regional Transport Office, Pen.
The detailed auction terms and vehicle list have been made available on the government e-auction portal from May 16.
The registration window opens on May 20 at 10 am and will remain active until May 21 at 5 om. Following this, document verification and approval of applications will be conducted on May 22 at 11 am.
For those wishing to inspect the vehicles, a viewing period is scheduled from May 17 to May 25, between 10 AM and 6 PM daily.
The actual e-auction will take place on May 27 from 12 PM to 2 PM.
Officials from the RTO have stated that they reserve the right to cancel or postpone the auction at any time without providing specific reasons. "Interested individuals are advised to read the terms carefully and ensure all conditions are met before participating," said an official.
