Thane: A 25-year-old man died by suicide after setting himself on fire in a secluded area in Ulhasnagar on Monday. The deceased has been identified as Karan Parab (25), a resident of Kalyan East, who lived with his family. The incident took place early Monday morning at Nevali Naka, within the jurisdiction of the Hill Line Police Station.
According to the police, Parab was employed at a private firm in Airoli, Navi Mumbai. On Monday morning, he left home for work but instead went to the secluded spot, reportedly removed petrol from his motorcycle, poured it on himself, and set himself ablaze.
Locals noticed the charred body and immediately informed the police. A police team rushed to the spot, called for an ambulance, and sent the body to Central Hospital in Ulhasnagar for post-mortem.
