Shravasti: Shravasti administration has demolished an illegal mazar built on municipal land along the Bhinga-Sirsia road. This joint action was carried out by the district administration, municipality, and Revenue department in the border district on Tuesday.
The land, identified as Gata number 121 and measuring 0.1420 hectare, falls under Bhinga Municipality and was reserved for timber storage. The administration had been receiving reports of illegal occupation and the construction of a mazar on this site for some time.
Officials took swift and strict action to remove the encroachment and reclaim the government land.Led by District Magistrate Ajay Kumar Dwivedi, a joint team from the Nagar Palika Parishad, Revenue Department, and Police first demarcated the land and notified the encroachers. A
fter the notice period, officials arrived at the site on Tuesday and demolished all illegal constructions, including the mazar, thereby fully reclaiming the land. Adequate security was deployed to maintain law and order throughout the operation.
