There is a special agreement between America and Pakistan, under which the US team is deployed here. Pakistan currently has about 75 F-16 fighter jets. Air Chief Marshal AP Singh said in Bengaluru on Saturday (9 August 2025) that India's S-400 air defense system shot down five Pakistani fighter planes in Operation Sindoor. Apart from this, Pakistan's Airborne Early Warning and Control and Electronic Intelligence aircraft were also shot down by India. This aircraft helps in aerial surveillance and intelligence gathering work. According to the Air Force, Pakistani army planes were shot down from a distance of about 300 kilometers.
