Emmerdale fans 'solve' what's behind John's locked door in 'creepy twist'

Viewers of Emmerdale think they've rumbled a "creepy" new twist involving killer John Sugden. Ahead of his looming downfall and a "shocking" discovery to be made by his husband Aaron Dingle, a scene in the latest episode teased he was hiding something.

Aaron was shown walking around when he noticed an open door and a hallway he had yet to go down. It led him to a locked door with him clearly intrigued to find out what was in there and why it was locked up.

But he was distracted before getting the chance to find out, so will he go snooping again later on to figure out the truth? What exactly is behind that door that John clearly wants to remain closed?

Fans believe they have figured it out already, taking to X to share their theories. The key idea is what leads to the scene on Friday where Aaron confronts his husband John after a "shocking discovery".

Photos show Aaron picking up items and looking at them, before giving John a stern look as if he's rumbled him. Suggesting John has been lying to him he demands answers, but what does John have to say for himself?

Whether this is linked to the locked room remains to be seen, but some fans think the picture of Aaron is from this very room. They believe he manages to get in, and it could hold some secrets about undetected killer John.

One fan suggested: "This room HAS to be what's behind the door in John's creep cottage and we're gonna find out it's his childhood bedroom I know it." Another fan said: "I feel like it'd be too obvious if it's Mack behind that door.

"Probably a shrine to John and all his 'achievements'." A third fan commented: "Yep, it’s his childhood bedroom for sure in the picture. You can see the wall has pictures and awards just like people usually have in their bedrooms."

The theory kept on being shared with one fan writing: "I’m guessing johns old room." As for other ideas, fans feared this could be where John has hidden Mack Boyd's body after appearing to murder him earlier this month.
