'I worked at Boots and these are the best deals to shop ahead of Black Friday'

Send Push

One of the biggest shopping of the year, Black Friday 2025 is set to see Brits snap up discounts across a range of product categories, from gifting and tech, to beauty and healthcare. And while we are still a few weeks away, some high street retailers, such as Boots, are offering deals and discounts which are so tempting, shoppers may not even need to wait until November to bag some serious savings.

While it feels as though brands and retailers launch their offers earlier each year, Black Friday 2025 lands on Friday, November 28. Boots hasn’t officially announced when its Black Friday deals will launch for this year, there are already plenty of ways to save on Christmas gifts, beauty products and more at the retailer.

Before joining the Mirror team, I worked as a customer assistant at Boots from 2015 to 2018, and during that period, I picked up a few tricks on how to unearth the best deals and maximise savings. I've since worked the deals circuit for three years, scrutinising Black Friday offers, advent calendars and beyond for The Mirror, OK! and more.

  • Superdrug's new £8 Rimmel makeup leaving shoppers 'really impressed'

Away from Boots, celebrity-loved brand Give Me Cosmetics has launched itsEarly Black Friday Sale, including a £91.90 bundle which is down to £19.99. As part of the sale, shoppers can beat the rush and secure the biggest discounts, saving up to 60% on bestsellers, fan favourites, and viral beauty essentials.

Elsewhere, The OK! Beauty Box contains 11 items, with 10 being full-sized – including a beloved Medik8 serum. The total worth reaches over £210, yet the collection typically retails for £59.99.

Be it Nars, Benefit or No7, Boots is offering a wide range of products and brands at a discounted rate this season, with many boasting pretty impressive savings - some even better than half price. And to help shoppers sort the wheat from the chaff, I’ve broken down where to look for the top deals and how customers can get the most bang for their buck.

Beauty Boxes

Boots has become renowned for their money-saving beauty boxes in recent years, with the retailer rolling out themed hauls every few weeks. At the moment, there are a couple to choose from, one of which is a K-Beauty edit for fans of Korean skincare. Pisces at £35, it’s worth £89.03 and explores a range of viral and innovative brands like Anua and Biodance.

Alternatively, there’s the Boots Autumn Warmers Beauty Box for £45, which is worth over £205, meaning shoppers save more than £160. The collection boasts 11 beauty must-haves, including eight full sizes from No7, NEOM Wellbeing, Sol De Janeiro and more.

For something similar at LookFantastic, there’ s The Beauty Icons Edit, worth over £245 but priced at £52. It offers a collection of the most sought-after, top-rated picks form the LF community, with names like Liz Earle, Sol de Janeiro, Murad and more inside.

Star Gifts and Beauty Icons

The first place I always scout for Christmas presents is the Boots Star Gifts, which see regularly rotating offers on brands like Benefit, Soap and Glory and No7 to name but a few. One of the top Star Gifts I spotted online is the Benefit I Spy Beauty Full Face 6-piece Makeup Gift Set, which is worth £69.19 but is priced at £34.50. The set stars a mini volumising mascara, rose blush, and bronzer, fun-size pore primer, lip and cheek stain, and brow setting gel.

Meanwhile, the ICONIC London The Blushing Icon Gift Set costs £64 but has a value of £130, making it better than half price. The set delivers a full-face edit of ICONIC favourites, featuring everything one could need for an easy, soft glam look.

As well as Star Gifts, new for 2025, Boots is offering some exclusive Beauty Icons sets, too. Over the coming weeks, the health and beauty retailer will launch 16 branded gift sets from top and trending brands that won’t be available anywhere else. The first of those sets was the £35 Boots X NARS Beauty Icons Gift Set, worth £76.44. Housed in a stylish black make up bag, it stars a full size Afterglow Lip Balm in the shade Orgasm, a Mini Light Reflecting Pressed Setting Powder and The Multiple also in the shade Orgasm Crave.

image Advent Calendars

Beauty advent calendars are a fantastic way to bolster your makeup and skincare stash for less, with many offering four times the amount of products than the cost you pay - and Boots is brimming with them.

The high street favourite has released two premium yet relatively purse-friendly offerings for 2025, including a skincare countdown and beauty calendar. While some calendars cost between £200 and £250, Boots’ come in at £70 and £150 respectively, combining affordability with an impressive line-up of much-loved and trending products.

For fans of luxury makeup products, the Boots 24 Day Premium Beauty Advent Calendar is an enviable pick. Costing £150, it contains 25 products spread across 24 days with a total value of £612.50, which saves £462.50 overall.

Of the 25 items, 17 are full-sized, with a carefully crafted mix of skincare, makeup, fragrance and haircare from some of the biggest names in the industry. Think cult-classics from Elemis, Estee Lauder and MAC, alongside trending powerhouses like Sol de Janeiro and Milk Makeup

Some shoppers may prefer a skincare-only option, and in which case, Boots has brought back the 24 Days Of Skincare Advent Calendar for a second year. At £70, it’s an ideal option for those not wanting to spend over £100 on a calendar, but still achieve that same sense of luxury and indulgence. Worth £289, it saves £219 on a complete skincare ritual of 24 products, of which a whopping 20 are full-sized.

Boots is set to stock more than 40 advent calendars this year. Alongside their premium offerings outlined above, there’s also their highly sought-after No7 calendars, with a more affordable and higher end offering available, as well as their beloved Macmillan charity advent calendar starring brands like Soap & Glory and Liz Earle. The calendar has raised more than £149,000 since 2021, and is currently available at a reduced price for £44, down from £90.

Another popular multi-brand countdown comes from Sephora, with their Sephora Favourites Advent Calendar, priced at £225. Their edit has sold out three years running and this will be no exception, containing 41 products (24 being full sized) with 31 of them being exclusive to the retailer, including the likes of Glow Recipe, Merit, Tarte and Tower 28.

Three for two mix and match

Boots' three for two mix and match deal has been a hit with Christmas shoppers long before I started working there, and in 2025, it's still as popular as ever. I always suggest picking up products that are similarly priced to maximise savings, and if you're placing a larger order, ensure your basket can be divided by three so you don't miss out.

Boots will organise all your gifts in price order, from highest to lowest and offer you every third item free. This means if you have 12 of the three for two gifts, then the third, sixth, ninth and 12th will be free when arranged in price order, so don't go splashing out unnecessarily.

£10 Tuesday

And lastly, each week Boots hosts their £10 Tuesday event, which sees a plethora of beauty products slashed to just £10 on - you've guessed it - Tuesdays. The products rotate weekly, but typically include anti-ageing champions, moisturisers and more from big-name brands like Olay, No7 and Nivea. Shoppers can find the £10 Tuesday deals here.
