Skoda’s sub-compact SUV Kylac, launched in November last year, has turned out to be a game-changer for the company in India. Within just seven months, this SUV has not only captured customer attention but also doubled Skoda India’s overall sales, earning the title of a true “hen that lays golden eggs.”
Record-Breaking Sales PerformanceDeliveries for the Skoda Kylac began in January 2025, and since then, the company has sold 27,091 units of this SUV. This number alone accounts for 65% of Skoda’s total sales (41,748 units) between January and July 2025.
The impact was visible in March 2025, when Skoda registered its highest-ever monthly sales of 7,422 vehicles, with Kylac driving the surge. In fact, the model has single-handedly doubled Skoda’s sales from 17,565 units (previous period) to 41,748 units in just seven months.
