Miss World 2025: Meet Opal Suchata Chuangsri, The Thai Beauty Who Took Home the Crown

The world witnessed a historic moment on the night of May 31, 2025, as Opal Suchata Chuangsri from Thailand was crowned Miss World 2025. The grand finale of the prestigious pageant was held in Hyderabad, marking the end of a spectacular 24-day celebration of culture, beauty, and talent. As the crown was placed on her head, Opal made her country proud and stepped into the global spotlight.

At just 22 years old, Opal has already achieved what many dream of. That same year, she went on to represent her country on the global stage at Miss Universe 2024, competing against contestants from over 120 countries. Though she didn’t win, she impressed everyone by finishing as the third runner-up.

Her accomplishments didn’t stop there. Earlier in 2025, she claimed the Miss World Thailand title, securing her place at the 72nd Miss World competition. And now, she has made history by bringing the Miss World crown back to Thailand.

Beyond pageantry, Opal is known for her intelligence and strong academic background. She is currently pursuing her undergraduate degree in Politics and International Relations at Thammasat University, one of Thailand's most prestigious institutions. Opal comes from a well-established family. Her father, Thanet Donkmanerd, and mother, Supatra Chuangsri, run a family business in Thalang, Phuket. She completed her schooling at Kajonkiatsuksa School, and later studied at Triam Udom Suksa School, one of the top high schools in Thailand.

Winning the Miss World crown also brought her a massive reward—1 million US dollars in prize money, which is approximately ₹8.5 crore in Indian rupees. But more than the monetary reward, it is her inspiring story, grace, and dedication that has won hearts worldwide.
