The Traitors is a popular television show that I'd always missed out on - until its recent celebrity series. Having heard the hype around the last few seasons, I'd still never given it a go. Feeling left out, I decided to watch The Celebrity Traitors to see what all the fuss was about.
Entirely unfamiliar with the concept, I began watching the first episode, asking my fellow viewers far too many questions about what happens. If, like me, you don't know, the BBC reality game show features a group of celebrities staying in a Scottish castle and playing a high-stakes game of deception.

Some are secretly chosen as "Traitors", while the rest are "Faithfuls". Each night, the Traitors "murder" a Faithful, removing them from the game. Each day, all players vote to banish someone they suspect is a Traitor.
Meanwhile, the group completes missions to build a prize fund. If the Faithfuls eliminate all the Traitors by the end, the money (up to £100,000) will go to charity. But if any Traitors remain, they steal the entire pot for their charity.
Usually, the show features ordinary people who are playing in hopes of taking the prize money home for themselves.
This Celebrity season has an incredibly star-studded cast, and I'm impressed that so many big names have entered the castle. From Comedian Alan Carr, who is hilarious in the show, to Singer Cat Burns, there's no doubt plenty of well-known and much-loved celebs taking part this season.
Having seen every game show under the sun, from Pointless to The Chase or Total Wipeout, I was pleased to see something with an original concept.

I was surprised to be watching something I felt like I'd never seen before, and impressed with how the show keeps you on the edge of your seat. While I'm usually terrible at keeping up with new episodes of popular shows, I feel like this one will be an easy watch.
With just two episodes a week, you'll be left waiting for the next instalment, and I can definitely say I'll be keen to watch the next season of it already.
