Jay Slater: Inquest adjourned for witnesses after bombshell 'stolen £12k Rolex' claim

An inquest into 's death heard that the teen stole a Rolex worth around £12,000 just before he went missing on . The teen sent a message to a friend reading: "Ended up getting thrown out with two Mali kids, just took an AP [expensive watch strap] off somebody and was on the way to sell it," the inquest heard. That same friend, Josh, claimed the teenager was "off his head on drugs" and took "10 to 15 vodka shots" on the night of his disappearance.

Jay went missing in the early hours of June 17 last year after attempting a 10-hour walk back to his accommodation, prompting a 29-day manhunt until his body was found on July 15. He was found in Juan Lopez ravine, north of Masca, close to where his phone last pinged.
