It's been a couple of years since Harrison Ford returned as his archaeologist adventurer for his fifth and final big screen adventure.
Pushing 80, some might have thought this wasn't such a good idea for an action hero and the box office reflected it.
Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny was a colossal box office bomb, losing Disney over $130 million.
If anything the franchise should have done a James Bond after Last Crusade, but instead Ford was brought back for two unnecessary sequels years after the incredible original trilogy.
Nevertheless, the latest rumour is that Lucasfilm intend to reboot the franchise with a brand new actor in the hat and whip.
According to The Disinsider: "Lucasfilm is letting the franchise rest for a bit before they do a full reboot of the franchise. I would expect the studio to announce something next year at the D23 Expo because even though the last film tanked at the box office, Indiana Jones is still an iconic IP and Disney/Lucasfilm do not want to waste that. With this in mind, there's a rising Hollywood star who is the bookies' favourite to replace Ford as the new Indiana Jones.

Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: "Glen Powell almost seems made for the role of Indiana Jones, and the odds suggest plenty of fans could well get their wish if the rumours of a reboot are to be confirmed." The 36-year-old Top Gun Maverick and Anyone But You star is the right age and has the looks and proven comedy and action chops to be a fantastic new Indy. He's currently at 2-1 to bag the role, followed by Chris Pratt on 4-1, Pedro Pascal on 9-2, Bradly Cooper on 8-1, John Krasinski and Henry Golding on 12-1 and Ryan Reynolds at 20-1.
