Spaghetti Bolognese is a popular dish in UK households, which requires just a few ingredients, such as tomato sauce, minced meat, and vegetables. This classic meal is enjoyed at celebratory dinners, family nights, or simply as a quick and easy everyday dinner.
However, a group of food enthusiasts on Reddit has revealed a unique ingredient that will result in a "sweet and creamy" spaghetti bolognese. Apost on Reddit asked social media users to share the unique ingredients used in food recipes. One of the food experts shared that adding an oyster sauce to spaghetti bolognese will give wonderful results.

The user wrote: "A teaspoon of oyster sauce into a Bolognese - its gorgeous."
Another one responded: "My wife's secret ingredient, it broadens the scope of the Asian dishes she makes that don't normally call for it. I'll have to try this next time I do Bolognese. I've been using fish sauce as my secret ingredient, but this sounds very interesting."
Adding oyster sauce to a Bolognese makes it sweet and creamy while bringing a deep richness to the meat, explained Madalyn Mackarey in her food blog for daily meal.
She said: "Oyster sauce's flavor profile holds a unique place on the salty-sweet spectrum. The oyster or oyster extract in the sauce delivers the briny saltiness. But the reduction of the sauce creates a balancing sweetness that keeps you coming back for more."
Thanks to its slow cooking process, oyster sauce takes on a rich, velvety consistency-think barbecue sauce, but silkier. To use it, simply stir in a small amount after browning the meat and adding your crushed tomatoes and other ingredients.
A couple of tablespoons is a great starting point-this sauce packs a punch, so you can always adjust to taste. For a more mellow twist, try blending it with brown butter first; the butter softens the sauce's boldness while adding a nutty richness.
She continued: "So, just as browning the beef for your Bolognese is vital to bring out the meaty, savory flavors, cooking down the oyster soup long enough brought out the best in the oysters to create a delicious oyster sauce. Both ingredients undergo the same process, which is what makes oyster sauce a perfect match for Bolognese."
